Comprised of four faculties, Haigazian University is a liberal arts institution of higher learning where research and theoretical and practical learning go hand-in-hand. The four faculties are grouped for administrative purposes into two schools, each headed by an Academic Dean: The Dean of Business Administration and Economics is Dr. Fadi Asrawi, and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences is Dr. Arda Ekmekji. The University offers, BA, BS, MA and MBA degrees. The purpose of Haigazian is to recruit qualified students and provide them with quality education. Thus, the University prepares professional citizens with a sense of social responsibility and leadership skills and enables students to contribute to the development of Lebanon and the world at large in a specific discipline or profession. Haigazian operates on the American model of higher education. HU is also a member of the Association of American International Colleges and Universities (AAICU). The AAICU comprises a number of distinct, university-level institutions in Europe and the Middle East, within the American system of higher education. The University has qualified faculty and staff who constantly promote high principles and excellence in service and learning through various academic and extra -curricular activities, enhancing communication, expression, fundamental human values and the exchange of knowledge. Both student and departmental activities include student, faculty and staff involvement. The Result is the growth of Haigazian's stature as an institution of higher learning that abides by its motto, Truth, Freedom and Service.
