SUMMARY OF PRESENTATIONS AND DISCUSSIONS

Prof. Sergio Bortolani (Project Director): welcomed all the participants and presented the SAA (School of Management) and the "Micro Finance at the University" project. He further presented an overview of the Micro Credit sector in the World.

Dr. Marco Elia (Project Academic Assistant): presented the project website with a focus on future developments.


Prof. Samir Abuznaid and Prof. Fadi Kattan (Palestine): presented their universities (Hebron and Bethlehem University), the economy overview of the region and the Micro Finance sector in Palestine.

Prof. Ghata Adnan and Dr. Reem Ramadan (Syria): Prof. Ghata presented the Al Baath University and the Non-Government Societies in Homs. Dr. Ramadan introduced the University of Damascus and presented a detailed description of the Micro Finance sector in Syria.
